তুমি কি মিশরের ওপর, একটি বেনু বাঁশের তৈরী চলবার ছড়ির ওপর নির্ভর করছ? মনে রেখো এই ছড়ির ওপর বেশী ভর দিলে, ছড়ি তো ভাঙবেই এমন কি তার চোঁচও তোমার হাতে ফুটে তোমায় জখম করতে পারে! মিশরের রাজার উপরে তুমি নির্ভর করতে পার না|

Now, behold, thou trustest upon the staff of this bruised reed, [even] upon Egypt, on which if a man lean, it will go into his hand, and pierce it: so is Pharaoh king of Egypt unto all that trust on him.
